Something different! I finally decided to get off my backside and nip down to Pugneys to have a look at the Blyth's Pipit in the New Year. I've not 'grilled' one of these since a trip to China a few years ago, and to be honest I never got enthused about them, mostly because there was much more engaging quarry to seek i.e. male Siberian Thrush, for example! Anyway, what a superb find this was! I'm an envious man!
Not having the time (or the temperatures!) to sketch in the field, I made a quick drawing from memory straight after some excellent views of the bird on the grassy embankment across from the police station, and then later tried to 'immortalize it'!
