Looking Sharp

Trying something a bit different here. A more 'minimalist' approach. I'd really like to get something into print i.e. a bird report. I think this should work! The challenge here was to portray a mainly all-black bird without it looking one dimensional. There's the extra challenge of capturing the preening pose in the field, which I've more or less succeeded in doing here I think. A simple wader, the 'Oik', but some nice clean cut contrasts to really stand out as a subject! The next job's to contact the YNU to see if the standard's acceptable. If so, then hopefully I can work towards something!
