Back trying to post something new every two weeks! The domestics keep getting in the way but the aim is to sort them all before migration begins!
Two pics - one very recent and the other from nearly two years ago. First is bird sketched at Old Moor and then re-drawn on Strathmore paper I recently picked up in the States. It's almost card-like and also rather coarse, which has definitely given a different finish to anything else I've used. Admittedly it's worked well for the muddy pool the bird's supposed to be wading through!
Second post - immediately below - was one of my first attempts at a coloured pencil piece. Hopefully an improvement's noticeable. Cheaper, standard cartridge paper was used here. For the moment I'm sticking with the higher quality materials.
Cheers
